Video Editing 

I have ample experience using industry-standard software, Premiere Pro. I work closely with the needs of the business to create testimonials and videos that tell your story authentically.

Student Testimonial Super Cut

I used industry Standard software to create this exciting and punchy video for the client.

I located B-roll, Interviews, and imported MOGRT's from AfterEffects, audio, and Stock Footage from Storyblocks (subscription asset site) and Dropbox. It was important to use a subscription service like Storyblocks for videos so that I could access a variety of high-quality, stock media. This insured that Northcoders never strayed into dangerous territory where we would have violated copyright legislation. I produced the same video in two separate dimensions so that it adhered to best practices for different platforms and channels.

In Premiere-pro, I maintained consistency of colour by ensuring that each shot was white-balanced and therefore was able to increase verisimilitude and believability in the edit. (The change of daylight can impact the colour of a shoot.) I did this by creating a mask over a white area in the shot, then using the Luminetri Colour wheel to alter the colour gradient. So that if a scene had too much green in it, I could offset it with magenta.

I used both Premiere-Pro and the in-App TikTok editing feature, to create a professional video, and then to help engagement. Using Tiktok's 'Text to Speak' feature supported engagement. 

This video resulted in 5 new Tiktok followers. 

Full-Length Testimonial 

To create a seamless video narrative, I edit between 3 camera angles and include B-Roll and Stock footage. Fitting the right audio to the testimonial is key as it can help determine the pace and emotional tonality. For example, editing to the beat can create an energetic and excitable feel to the video. 

This supercut was edited down to a 20-minute testimonial. I take great care in considering which quotes will best attract customers when crafting shorter videos, each statement needs to be aspirational and positive, but encourage them to seek out the original cut and ultimately convert in sales.
